Discover the refreshing taste of Brazilian Lemonade with this simple recipe. Blending fresh limes with sweetened condensed milk creates a creamy and tangy drink that's perfect for cooling down on a hot day. Ready in just minutes, this lemonade is a delightful twist on a classic summer favorite.
Ingredients:
4 juicy limes (thin-skinned and preferably seedless)
4 cups cold water
1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
6 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
Ice cubes
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Limes:
Wash the limes thoroughly to remove any wax or dirt. Cut off the ends and then cut the limes into quarters.
2. Blend the Limes:
In a blender, combine the quartered limes with 2 cups of cold water. Blend for just a few seconds. You don't want to blend it too long, as it can make the lemonade bitter. Just pulse a few times to break down the limes.
3. Strain the Mixture:
Pour the lime mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher, pressing down on the solids to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.
4. Add Sugar and Condensed Milk:
Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water, the sugar, and the sweetened condensed milk to the strained lime juice. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
5. Serve:
Fill glasses with ice cubes, then pour the Brazilian lemonade over the ice. Serve immediately.
Notes:
The sweetness can be adjusted according to your taste by adding more or less sugar or sweetened condensed milk.
This lemonade is best served fresh because the lime pulp can start to turn bitter if it sits for too long.
Enjoy your refreshing Brazilian lemonade!
