Create smooth, creamy, and spreadable creamed honey in just one day using only honey and a stand mixer. Perfect for spreading on toast or adding to your favorite dishes.
Yield: 1 cup of creamed honey
Prep Time: 40 minutes (active)
Resting Time: 2 hours (between mixing sessions)
Total Time: Approximately 6 hours
Ingredients:
1 cup honey (preferably raw and unfiltered)
Instructions:
First Mix:
Pour 1 cup of honey into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment.
Mix on medium speed for 20 minutes. The honey will gradually lighten in color and develop a creamy texture.
First Rest:
Turn off the mixer and let the honey rest in the bowl for 2 hours. This resting period allows the honey to stabilize and start the crystallization process.
Second Mix:
After the 2-hour rest, mix the honey again at medium speed for another 20 minutes. The texture should become even smoother.
Second Rest:
Allow the honey to rest for another 2 hours.
Final Mixes:
Repeat the mixing process at medium speed for 20 minutes after each rest period. You can do this 1-2 more times on the same day for an even creamier texture.
Storage:
Once the honey has reached your desired consistency, transfer it to a clean jar or deli container. Store at room temperature.
Enjoy:
Your creamed honey is now ready to enjoy! Spread it on toast, drizzle it over yogurt, or use it as a sweetener in tea.
