Sometimes inspiration strikes from the most unexpected places.
This week, it came in the form of a wildly catchy viral TikTok song—Le Poisson Steve by Tomo. If you’ve heard it, you know it sticks. I couldn’t get it out of my head… and since I happened to be making macarons at the time, well—Steve became dessert.
The Result?
Adorably weird, totally whimsical Le Poisson Steve macarons.
The Details:
Flavor: Classic vanilla macaron shells
Filling: Swiss meringue buttercream—smooth, light, and not too sweet
Decoration: All hand-drawn using edible markers to capture Steve’s famous little face
My kids absolutely loved them (and so did I). Sometimes, baking isn’t just about flavor—it’s about play, fun, and letting creativity take the lead.
Would I make them again? Honestly, yes. It was too much fun not to.
If you’re looking for a weekend bake or want to surprise your own Le Poisson Steve-obsessed little ones, these macarons are a hit.
Have you ever turned a trend into a treat?
